everything4web Content Managers

At everything4web we offer a full range of Content Managers that Plug In to our CMS Solutions. We have managers to help increase traffic to your site, to manages events through to displaying images like Flash. 

As an everything4web client some of the managers below are included in your solution as standard some can be added later on.  Please speak with your Territory Manager or Project Manager.

NOTE: Some of the managers  come standard with the solution and you will see "STANDARD".  If a Manager is applicable to our Shop / Catalogue solution you will see "SHOP/CAT".

 

Our Managers Include

  1. Album Replicator Manager - This manager allows the upload of a set of managers using ANY managers the site has available. On the displayed web page the managers arrange themselves in rows and columns automatically, making an album layout regardless of the content.
  2. Background Content Manager - This manager allows a background to be specified for some or all of a page. Other suitable objects can be placed into it, such as Grids, images, text, etc. and appear over the background image.
  3. Border Manager -This manager allows a Border and background (Plain Coloured) to be specified for other Content Managers. Other suitable objects can be placed into it, such as Grids, images, text, etc. and appear inside the border and over the background.
  4. Contact Content Manager - This manager allows Site Administrators to create Contact information on the current page. This information consists of a Name Section, Image, a Text Section for Address information, a WWW-link section and an E-mail section. Each section is optional.
  5. Date Modified - STANDARD -This manager automatically displays the date the current page was saved, in normal or small text.
  6. Email Manager - STANDARD - This manager creates an email link to start the visitor’s email client with a To: entry, a suggested email subject and some informative text in the email body, so the contact context is guided.
  7. Email Disguised Manager - STANDARD - This manager creates an email form with a To: entry, a suggested email subject and some informative text in the email body, so the contact context is guided. The To: email address is not shown on the page so spammers cannot harvest it. A button or word link opens up the email form.
  8. Expiring Content Manager - This manager is used when a section of a web page or the entire web page has content that will expire on a certain date in the future.
  9. FAQ Manager - This manager allows the user to create a series of Frequently Answered Questions (FAQ) and their answers. When the site visitor clicks on any question the answer is revealed below it. Clicking on any subsequent question hides any open answer and reveals the answer to the current question.
  10. File Download Manager - SHOP/CAT - This manager allows Site Administrators to select a file from their local PC/Network and create a link on the current page to enable that file to be downloaded from the site. The file is uploaded as the link is created.
  11. Flash Manager - SHOP/CAT - This manager allows users to insert Flash animations into their web pages. The Flash Display can be sized as necessary.
  12. Forum Manager - This manager displays on the webpage that contains it a series of threads on various topics to simulate a delayed web conversation. Any approved user will see all threads, be able to add a response to any thread, and create new threads. A user can only delete their own comments. A Forum Moderator appointed by the Site Administrator will be able to delete any response or thread.
  13. Grid Content Manager - This manager allows Site Administrators to create variable-dimensioned grids to layout page content. Other Content-managers can be used to place content inside the Grid.
  14. IFrame Manager - This manager allows the creation of a frame inside a web page. The frame size can be set. The frame can have a border. This is not recommended for general use because Search Engine spiders cannot find the frame content to index the page.
  15. Image Gallery Manager - This manager allows the Site Administrator to upload an a set of images each of which is converted to a thumbnail image plus a larger image using the Graphic Optimiser technology. Clicking on the thumbnail will pop-up a new window with the larger image. There is text to display with each image. The images arrange themselves in rows and columns automatically, making a gallery layout.
  16. Image Map Manager - This will display an image on a web page using the same features as the standard Image Manager. Areas of the image can be defined by sets of coordinates and become links to other web locations. Various link area shapes are allowed.
  17. Image Rollover Content Manager - This manager allows the Site Administrator to upload 2 images to a page and specify the second image that will be visible when the visitor hovers over the image location. Alignments and properties allow for variation in appearance and relationship of the image to other items on the page. The image can be resized to the preferred size upon upload using Shopetools’ Graphic Optimiser technology.
  18. Image Rollover (Double) Manager with Link - This manager consists of two components. The first allows the website manager to upload a pair of images for the main rollover set, select the page on the site to link to when the image is clicked, and select the target image that will be also be changed when the rollover is activated. This component is typically used several times in an image rollover menu. The second manager allows a series of images to be added with named targets. These images are the images changed when the main rollover occurs.
  19. Image with Pop-up Manager - This manager allows the Site Administrator to upload an Image that is converted to a thumbnail image plus a larger image using the Graphic Optimiser technology. Clicking on the thumbnail will pop-up a new window with the larger image. Hovering over either images will display text.
  20. Marquee Content Manager - This manager allows the user enter text to be displayed, width of the display, plus colour, size and bold properties of the text. A website visitor sees a repeated scrolling display of the text, to the width set in the manager.
  21. Media Content Manager - SHOP/CAT - This manager allows users to insert videos, animations, and sound files into their web pages. The Media Manager works well in Internet Explorer but some types of files will require plug-ins to be loaded in Netscape, etc. Netscape displays the plug-ins page if the right one is not installed. Controls allow the setting of properties of the media player. Various media formats are fully supported in Internet Explorer: · Audio: wav, snd, au, aif, aifc, aiff, wma, mp3 · CD audio track: cda · MIDI files: mid, midi, rmi · Video files: avi, wmv, mpg, mpeg, mpe, m1v, mp2, mpa · Media files: asf, wm, wma, wmv.
  22. Metatags and Title Content Manager - STANDARD - SHOP/CAT - This manager allows the Site Administrator to add Metatags and a Page Title to any page. It can be used for various purposes, but mostly to create Keywords and Descriptions for Search engine registration. Administrators are advised to study the “Art and Science” of creating the best Metatag and Title combination for a page.
  23. News/Events Manager - This manager allows Site Administrators to maintain a News or Events item display for the current page. The default initial display is a list of News or Events, with add/edit/delete functions. News and Events entries have a Title, a Summary section, a Detail section, an optional graphic, a display date (default is immediate). Pages of News or Events are displayed as a list of Summaries at the top, each linked to the detailed story down the page. Site administrators have control over the number of items displayed on a page, and the “windows” of dates used to display news and events (and hence the “archiving” period for news and events, as well as the optional use of Summaries.
    News Items are displayed with the latest News at the top. Events items are displayed with the closest Event at the top. The News list and Events list are alternatives switched by selecting a link. Archived News/Events can be viewed by selecting a link. This module is accompanied by a New News/Events Module attached to the home page to Display the closest Event and newest News: linking to Events/News to view them.
  24. Object Link Manager - STANDARD - This creates links to other pages inside the site based on any other allowed object, such as images, Text, Headers HTML, etc. The linked web page can optionally start in a new Window.
  25. Plain Text Manager - STANDARD - This creates Page output using plain text as input. The text is formatted automatically so ends of lines and empty lines created by pressing are respected.
  26. Random Object Manager - This manager allows the Site Administrator to add a series of other managers (such as images, text or even single sections, etc) inside it. These inserted objects are displayed one-at-a-time when the web page is displayed or refreshed. The administrator can choose to have them displayed sequentially or randomly.
  27. Referrer Content Manager - STANDARD - This manager allows the Site Administrator to have one copy of an object/page/etc., and display it in several places on the website. If the referred-to object needs to be changed, it is just changed in the original place, and all pages that refer to the object will show the new content. Another use of the Referrer Content Manager is to simplify the construction of a series of pages by building repeated components into a sub-page object that will never be displayed by itself and then referring to that Object in each page of the series. This can save time and simplify the structure of a set of pages with repeated content, such as a complex menu or bottom area, etc.
  28. Re-finance Loan Calculator Manager - This Module allows a site visitor to calculate the value of a refinancing loan that they can borrow on various calculations such as Current Loan Amount, Nett Income, Expenses. The results of this calculator will give a comparison chart with the visitor's existing loan and a re-financed loan.
  29. Resource Database Manager - This manager will allow the visitor to search by a pre-selected Category, or "All" Search for entered word/s in Name or Description. This will display a list of Found Items (Name plus description) Links in List to view/download the file. Search Engines will be able to read the displayed pages by displaying items for a category on a page, with links, so that search engines can index the data. The Database has a Master table of Categories to enable Searching / Display of a subset of the list. The Fields Category Table of Items Fields will be: Category, Name, Description, attached File. There will be Maintenance of Categories Maintenance of Items.
  30. RSS Feed Manager - SHOP/CAT  - This manager is short for (Really Simple Syndication) and allows your site to display fresh themed content from RSS News, Sport and industry Feeds on the web that updates itself automatically 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You'll never have to work on that content again and you'll be offering your visitors valuable and highly relevant material. Changing content on your site makes it "Sticky" by helping to keep visitors returning and having regular site changes increases your site's Search Engine performance. There are thousands of RSS feeds available on all kinds of topics.
  31. Secure Group Users Manager - This manager enables Users in groups to access pages on the website that have been setup as Secure Pages for that group. The Site Administrator can add, edit and delete Users, Groups and the Secure Pages from their site.
  32. Site Map Manager - This manager will be displayed from the menu data. Table display of search results with links to pages. This will not display Secure Pages unless the user is logged in to view then (If Secure Users Module is used).
  33. Standard WYSIWYG HTML Content-Manager - SHOP/CAT  - This manager stands for What You See Is What You Get and allows sections to be added to pages configured for it. Each section can have any/all of Headings, Text, Graphic, in a variable relationship. The image can be resized to the preferred size upon upload using Shopetools Graphic Optimiser technology. The text area uses Windows inbuilt Microsoft WYSIWYG HTML editor to allow the text content and its layout to be created without HTML knowledge.

    Controls include: New, Cut, Copy, Paste, Font Selection, Font Colour, Font Size, Bold, Underline, Italic, Left/Centre/Right Align, Indent/Outdent, Bulletted List, Numbered List, Horizontal Rule, Link to a web page or e-mail. The WYSIWYG editor will only work if the site administrator uses Internet Explorer 5.x or above. Inclusive with WebPresence and WebBrochure.
  34. Social Networking Manager - SHOP/CAT - This manager allows site Administrators to easily add links to the various Social Networking websites, such as del.icio.us, Digg, furl, facebook, Google, reddit, Stumbleupon, Twitter, Yahoo. The links can be chosen from the available list. The manager automatically creates links to any page and is best added to the footer or header of sites. This manager makes it easy for site visitors to register your site with the Social networks as one they like and recommend to others.
  35. Subscription Manager - This manager allows Subscribers to have have the facility to submit their registration and payment details via an online web form. They will need to provide Name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone, fax and credit card details.

    Upon successful submission and payment of subscription the database will generate a username and password for the subscriber and a standard e-mail thank you letter. Also a notification to the administrator of the order. Credit card information should be stored securely on the server for retrieval by the administrator for payment processing. An automated payment gateway can be added on. The server will need to be guaranteed secure by the hosting company, it is accessible locally.

    Payment details will be batched and listed in a single document with the ability to be purged once payments have been processed and the configurable mandatory bank payment reversal period has passed. The payment details will be held in the database, with the records being purged when the site administrator says "OK". Payment details will be sent off-site regularly as a secure spreadsheet-readable file for extra security. To this end the administrator needs a secure-document capable email client. The database will need to track the listing date and expiration date. E-mail reminders will be automatically generated at a pre-determined number of days prior to expiration (configurable) and again 1 day before expiration if required.

    The subscriber would click Accept or Reject on the email that would activate another payment from the subscribers stored credit card through the payment gateway. Users would also be able to reactivate their account by clicking a link on the web site Users Login page? - maybe they have lost that email ? give them every opportunity??
  36. Table Entry Content Manager - This manager allows users to put text content straight into a table of nominated but variable rows and columns. The table can have optional visible borders, configurable in various ways (colour, width, spacing etc.)
  37. Target manager - This manager consists of two components that work together. The Target Manager allows a named Target object to be created in a page and other Managers placed inside it to act as the focus of the target. The Target Link Manager is placed where a link is to be created to enable the website visitor to jump to the Targeted content. A list of Site Content is displayed. When a page is selected, the targets in that content are displayed. One of those is selected as the location inside the page to jump to when the link is clicked.
  38. User Located Sub-menu Manager - This manager allows user to select a part of the menu tree to be displayed and locate it on a page. More than one instance can be displayed on a page, layout can be horizontal or vertical. (Used for various page-based submenus.)
